Nisse's Dream, a sophisticated musical for the young at heart
NISSE"S DREAM is a sophisticated musical about a boy, a cow, a witch, and a pack of TROLLS! Composed by Paul Safar to the libretto/book by Nancy Wood, NISSE'S DREAM is a show that the whole family can enjoy! NISSE'S DREAM is the story of a young man named Nisse who must retrieve his family's stolen cow from Neem the Troll Queen and her greedy pack of bumbling trolls. On his journey he finds friendship and encouragement from a loyal dog, a pompous bear, and a magical blue witch who just happens to be his mother in disguise. NISSE'S DREAM is a delightful addition to the world of children's music and theater. NISSE'S DREAM is indeed the kind of children's musical theater that has it all, great music, a great story, endearing characters, dancing trolls, and a message that helps people of all ages find the courage to pursue their dreams. Kenneth Ray Wilson - Artist
I have always been attracted to the beauty of the landscape. The variety of colors, structure, and textures in nature provide endless inspiration for subjects in my paintings. The Impressionism period of art has most influenced my work, most particularly the paintings of Monet.  Art is always evolving, and my art is constantly changing.  The venture into abstract art has been my most difficult journey.

Dance

AGNIESZKA LASKA DANCERS
AGNIESZKA LASKA DANCERS is a PUBLIC BENEFIT nonprofit corporation, functioning as a modern dance company. In this era we inhabit rare territory, shared by few others, in that we are dedicated to offering public performances (as often as possible) with live concert hall music in the classical tradition, and in the most artistically polished contexts achievable. Our mission is to educate and offer to the public cultural enrichment through modern dance performed with live concert hall music in the classical tradition and to educate individual choreographers, dancers and musicians toward the realization of such collaborations at the highest artistic level. To maintain the development of a vibrant company and network of collaborative artists, we have developed several ongoing programs: Choreographic Development - focus: develop skill and vision in aspiring choreographic artists while working with performers and composers of music in the classical tradition - in studio and on stage. Educational Workshops - focus: improve technical skills and raise the level of execution in dancers and collaborating musicians and provide teaching workshops with professional dance teachers in disciplines rare in the local dance scene; and thereby build and develop relationships with the region's dance community at large. Repertory Group - focus: develop aspiring dancers while learning the ALD repertory, with the possibility of becoming regular ALD company members, while sharing (in performance) their progress in outreach and audience development contexts to communities both under-served and uninitiated to fine art modern dance and music.
